VUT’s Masters’ degree is one that is multifaceted in its career applicability as the skills acquired as part of the degree will allow the graduates to find employment in multiple fields including information technology, administration, human resources, public relations as well as finance, to name a few. As part of the course, students are furnished with the ability to manage information proficiently with a particular focus on technology and information technology, a sought-after quality in the business world. Students who specialise in office management and technology will ultimately be groomed for managerial and leadership positions within their chosen career fields.

What is office management and technology comprised of, and what are the admission requirements?

At the Vaal University of Technology, in order to be eligible for any of the M-Tech degrees, the prospective applicant must possess an Honours degree or a B-Tech Degree from a recognised tertiary institution. An aggregate of 60% and above is a prerequisite in order to apply for any of the following Master’s degrees that are offered as part of the Faculty of Applied and Computer Sciences including: Masters in Information Technology, Masters of Applied Sciences in Biotechnology, Masters of Applied Sciences in Chemistry, Masters in Office Management & Technology and a Masters in Information and Communication Technology. Due to the fact that the courses that form part of the Faculty of Applied and Computer Sciences are research-oriented, it encourages students to delve into, and explore what office management and technology is and the practical applications of it in the working world.
